20 Questions

  1. What's for breakfast?
Egg beaters scrambled with cherry tomatoes and LF Cab0t, Morningst@r Farms Veggie Breakfast Sausage, 1/2 whole wheat raisin bagel, coffee.
  2. Do you read a newspaper daily?
Yes. The Oregonian, but mainly just the Living section. I read it before I go to bed. Today was unusual in that I read an actual article before work - about the inversion layer over Oregon causing a Clean Air Action Day today.
  3. What do you do when you can't sleep?
    I read.
  4. Say a word that sums up your mood.
Happy, happy with the clear sunny weather. I love inversions!
  5. Do you remember your dreams?
Bits and pieces. Mostly only if they're particularly disturbing.
  6. Name something from your dream last night.
It was a work dream. I was dreaming endlessly about importing resources into a project (be thankful you don't know what that means).
  7. Name a food that describes you.
    Coffee.
  8. Today you are wearing:
D@nskos, maroon boiled wool sweater and maroon socks, jeans (12!), white tee.
  9. What's in your pockets?
Well, a pedometer is hanging off one.
  10. Did you sing in the shower today?
No. I don't sing in the shower.
  11. What's the last song you heard?
Train in Vain by Annie Lennox.
  12. Looking forward to the holidays?
Hell no. Well, looking forward to the time off, but I'm not big on HalloweenThanksgivingBirthdayChristmasBoxingDayNewYears.
  13. Where do you want to be this instant?
Outside, in the sun, on my bike.
  14. What's for lunch?
Tom Yum Noodle Soup from Typhoon. I had lunch with two former coworkers (one retired, the other retiring in 7 months).
  15. What's something you would like to do soon?
    I can't say here. It's a sekrit.
  16. Reading anything now? What is it?
Oh yes. I'm "reading" (audio book) A Million Little Pieces (James Frey). I bet my face was an amusing thing to behold this morning on the elliptical when I listened to his description of the dentist poking around in his ruined mouth. Ew. In print, I'm reading A Wedding in December (Anita Shreve) and Passing for Normal (Amy Wilensky) . This last one is the first book by the woman who wrote the memoir about her sister who had WLS. It's about her own OCD and Tourette's. Fascinating and frightening.
  17. What's for dinner?
Grilled steak, simple green salad, roasted yam, steamed artichoke.
  18. A favorite part of the day is:
    Morning shower
  19. Are you happy?
Weirdly, yes. I think it has to do with the inversion layer and the glorious, crispy clear sunny days we've had - and that are predicted through Thanksgiving. Also, finding out that I have twelve (12!) PTO days left. That and I finally got my flu shot. Oh, and we went to the greatest lecture last night: Alexander McCall Smith. Hilarious. I've never read him (#1 Ladies' Detective Agency), but I'm inspired to.
  20. Will your friends do this meme?
Who knows.Let me know if you do.
