Morning wasted struggling with FrameMak3r crashes; mood and calm redeemed by Pilates. Pilates on the step bench. Wacky. I felt very off-balance during the first half of class but felt much better after Roll-like-a-ball (on the step!) I think I'm actually better rolling like a ball on the step because I don't fling myself so far backward (being afraid of rolling off the step) and so don't crunch my neck and lose my scoop.
We're thinking about going in on a group order of "Scoop!" tee shirts (they say "it's a Pilates thing" on the back). Last week in class, after a particularly brutal set of ab-intensive work, someone said "my scooper is pooped". I think that would make a good tee shirt...hmmmm....
Last night, after breakthrough in session, we went to Le Happy for Le Steak and Salad. I felt like maybe mixing it up a bit and going there instead of getting big salads at Old Wives Tales might help pull me out of boredom rut. It helped...a little.
Tonight and tomorrow, we've got free passes for movies at the Hollyweird. Tonight is a film about kids and ballroom dancing. Can't remember the name but heard a great review of it on NPR a few weeks ago. Tomorrow night is Layer Cake, by Mr. Madonna. I love the Hollyweird!
And then, this weekend, we're gonna get outta dodge and go to the beach. I hope the weather holds (supposed to be upwards of 86-87 today and maybe hit 90 tomorrow). I'd love to do some walking on the beach. I always feel cleansed afterward. Something about those negative ions.
What fun do you have planned?
